Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · JUNE 2026
Orbit Core (the "App", "Orbit", "we", "us") is operated by nana studios LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Orbit Core and our website (orbitcore.app), how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. By using Orbit Core you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, username, and a password (stored only as a salted hash). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider — Apple may share a private relay email instead of your real address. We never see your Apple or Google password.
Profile information. Details you choose to add to your profile: roles (e.g., photographer, model), bio, base cities, specialties, languages, services, day rate, experience level, availability status, travel plans, and social links (Instagram, TikTok, website).
Portfolio uploads, wallpapers and photos. Photos and videos you upload as portfolio work, profile photos, cover images/wallpapers, and photo-spot pictures. Media is stored securely with our cloud storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and served over encrypted connections.
Content you create. Collaboration posts, photo-spot submissions, reviews and ratings, saved lists and collections, upvotes, and direct messages you exchange with other members.
Location information. Orbit is location-first: we use the cities you choose for your profile, travel plans, and searches. If you grant the location permission, we use your device's approximate location to sort nearby creatives and photo spots (maps). We do not track your location in the background, and you can use Orbit without granting location access.
Camera and photo library. With your permission, the App accesses your camera and photo library only when you choose to take or upload a photo or video. We never scan your library or upload anything you didn't select.
Payment information. Subscriptions and Spotlight purchases are processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) or Stripe (web). We receive confirmation of the purchase (product, transaction id, expiry) but never your full card number or payment credentials.
Analytics and device data. We collect basic usage data (screens visited, feature usage, crash logs, device type, OS version, app version) to keep Orbit reliable and improve it. Analytics are aggregated wherever possible.
Cookies. Our website uses only strictly-necessary cookies/local storage (e.g., to keep you signed in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Show you nearby creatives, photo spots and collaborations, and power search and filters.
- Display your public profile and portfolio to other members and on shareable profile links you create.
- Deliver messages, collaboration invites and activity updates.
- Process purchases, manage subscriptions and unlock Premium features.
- Send push notifications you opt in to (e.g., new messages) — you can disable these anytime in your device settings.
- Prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
- Improve, debug and develop the App.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party targeted advertising.
3. Sign in with Apple, Google, and Email
You can create an account with email + password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. Third-party sign-in providers share only your name and email with us. Authentication tokens are verified on our servers; we store an internal identifier so you can sign in again with the same provider.
4. Maps and Location Services
Location permission is optional and requested only in context (e.g., when you tap "near me"). Your precise coordinates are used transiently to sort results and are not shared with other members — other users only ever see the cities you have chosen to display.
5. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we store a device push token to deliver them. Disable notifications anytime in iOS/Android settings; we delete push tokens when you delete your account.
6. How We Share Information
- Other members: your public profile, portfolio, posts, spots and reviews are visible in the App and via public profile links you share.
- Service providers: cloud hosting and storage (e.g., Cloudflare R2), payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe), and AI services that power optional features (e.g., generated collab descriptions). Providers only receive what they need to perform their service.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfer: if nana studios LLC is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer under the same protections.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Purchase records are retained as required by tax and accounting law. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
8. Account Deletion & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time in the App: Profile → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, portfolio media, messages and posts from our systems. You can also request deletion by emailing support@orbitcore.app — we complete requests within 30 days.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing of, and delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases are contract performance (providing the App), legitimate interest (safety, improvement) and consent (optional permissions). Exercise any right via support@orbitcore.app.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request to know, correct or delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — Orbit does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do not discriminate for exercising your rights.
11. Children
Orbit Core is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a minor is using Orbit, contact us and we will remove the account.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Media is stored in access-controlled cloud storage. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
13. International Transfers
Our servers and providers may be located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
14. Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the App.
